ORGANIC PIGMENTS
Pigment Violet 1
Pigment Violet 1 is a rhodamine-lake violet with a reddish color position. It is used in selected offset, flexographic and gravure inks, including nitrocellulose and polyamide systems. It belongs to a different chemistry from durable quinacridone or dioxazine violets, so fastness should be checked for the intended exposure.

PRODUCT PROFILE
P.V.1Pigment Violet 1 — grade profile
Pigment Violet 1 (P.V.1) is a rhodamine-lake pigment for Printing inks. Compare shade, tinting strength, dispersion and processing stability in the customer’s actual resin or binder rather than relying on one universal value.
Published screening data includes published heat reference 140 °C, light fastness 5/8 and oil absorption 40–50 ml/100g. Application-specific heat and fastness entries in the technical table take precedence.
Primary listed fits include NC inks; Offset inks and Water-based inks are listed for evaluation.
At equal loading, compare shade, tinting strength, dispersion and resin or binder compatibility, then confirm the required fastness under the final process conditions.
