HIGH-PERFORMANCE PIGMENTS

Pigment Violet 19

Pigment Violet 19 is an unsubstituted quinacridone pigment whose red-to-violet shade depends on crystal form and grade. Published beta-form grades are bluish violet, while gamma-form grades occupy a yellower red position. It is used in coatings, inks and plastics; the crystal modification should be specified when matching a standard.

Pigment Violet 19 — grade profile

Pigment Violet 19 (P.V.19) is a quinacridone pigment for Plastics & masterbatch, Coatings & paint and Printing inks where processing stability and durability are defined selection criteria. Evaluate the grade in the intended resin or binder at the target loading and process conditions; every value below retains its published source and application context.

SHADE POSITIONCrystal-form-dependent red to violet
PUBLISHED PERFORMANCE

Published screening data includes published heat reference 300 °C and light fastness 8/8. Application-specific heat and fastness entries in the technical table take precedence.

APPLICATION FIT

Primary listed fits include PVC, Polyolefins (PO), Polystyrene (PS), ABS, General coatings screening and General printing-ink screening.

Selection focus

At equal loading and dispersion, compare full shade, tint, transparency or opacity, heat stability, migration and the intended exposure conditions.
